Fen Studio Architects were appointed to design a contemporary sustainable dwelling on a tight corner plot in Cottenham, Cambridgeshire. The brief was to maximise the sites potential, and to design an energy and spatially efficient 3-bedroom family home.

The form and material palette of the dwelling takes reference from the surrounding context, with many houses finished in variants of render and timber cladding.

Renewable energy systems were to be installed - An air source heat pump to provide heating provisions with a solar photo voltaic array to provide electricity.
